Main Responsibilities
• Act as the central design figure on a team by designing the layout of: rough and precise grading and erosion control plans; public, offsite, and street improvements; underground utilities including water and sewer
• Prepare technical reports including hydrology and hydraulics, earthworks, sewer capacity, water demand, etc
• Involved in the preliminary, DD, and CD phase; completing due diligence, feasibility studies, and entitlements; provide construction support through site visits, project coordination, and responding to RFIs
• Able to independently perform complex design tasks and solve major design issues with little to no supervisory input
Qualifications
• Have a combination of a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design experience totaling of at least 1 to 2 years
• EIT certification required
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Coordinate with architect/agency/client for production and design
• Able to independently make engineering judgment and solve design issues
